Sultan Han in Aksaray

It is located in Aksaray, in Sultan Han district as its namesake. The structure was built by the Anatolian Seljuk Sultan Suleiman Alaeddin Keykubad the 1st and completed in 1229. The architect is Mohammed bin Havlan from Damascus. Sultan Han, the largest of the Seljuk caravanserais in Anatolia with the area of 4800 square meters, is one of the most striking examples of the classical Seljuk caravanserai scheme.
