The Çanakkale Martyrs Memorial

It was built in the memory of 250 thousand soldiers who died in Çanakkale war. The construction started on April 19th, 1954 and was completed in 6 and a half years. It was built by Architect Dogan Erginbas, İsmail Utkular and Engineer Ertugrul Barla. The monument which was opened on August 21st, 1960 has a museum on its basement and the Mehmetçik Monument and the Turkish Cemetery nearby.
